Worldcoin is a cryptocurrency coin co-founded by Open AI CEO Sam Altman, Alex Bania Tool Of Humanity CEO and Max Novendstern in 2019.
The company started raising funds in 2021 and in a few months the company had raised over $25million. Six months later the company had managed to raise over $100million more where this raised the company token value to over $3billion.
Worldcoin is owned by Tools Of Humanity which is based in San Francisco In USA And Berlin In Germany.
CREATING A WORLDCOIN ACCOUNT
To create a an account you need to download the app from your phone app store then proceed to signing up for an account using your google account and mobile number. To verify your account you need to visit an ORB in order to prove your humanity. There is no other shortcut to account verification you have to visit an ORB to scan your iris.
WORLDCOIN RESERVES
Anyone who created and verified his account between April to July was getting 25wld grant named beta. In July 24th after the launch worldcoin was giving 25WLD grant to every user.
Those who created new accounts and claimed grants before verification there grants were reserved to be released later after verification was completed.
After Genesis grant time lapsed worldcoin introduced another grant amounting to 3WLD which is claimed after every two week and is continuing to run till now.
WOLRDCOIN RESERVES DISAPPEARING
Starting From end of October 2023 if you updated your WLD app account and you had reserves they will automatically disappear from your screen. But why? Where did they go? Don’t worry again! Wolrdcoin has said that after the update the wld app developed bags which made the reserved worldcoins disappear and not show on the screen. The app development team has acknowledged that they are aware of the problem and they busy working to fix it soon.
Most people had been worried after this incident happened some claiming the grants reserves had been hacked or the project was a scam and had failed.
Worldcoin is currently verifying those reserved coins and they will soon be released in the next three weeks!
